Valentino, a medium-sized Terrier mix with a soft blue-gray coat, was rescued from freezing Detroit streets alongside his friends after surviving some tough weather. Since then, heās been flourishing in his foster home, showing a gentle, calm side and a big appetite for affectionāespecially petting. Valentino is house trained, crate-trained, and keeps his cool around other dogs. He hasnāt been tested with cats yet and is best suited for families with children over seven. A fully fenced yard is non-negotiable for his safety and happiness so he can play and relax outside. Valentino will be neutered prior to adoption, and all his vaccines are current. He is heartworm-positive and will require monthly preventative care for life, but despite this, heās adapting well and ready for a committed home. Adopters must live within an hour of Birmingham, MI, and agree to a home visit and obedience class for dogs over one year of age. No out-of-state placements or same-day adoptions are available.
