Truman is a Terrier mix and his estimated birthdate is 9/01/2024. He was rescued from living crated in a cold basement. The police raided the house and Truman was one of three dogs in the basement and they called MADR to assist in the rescue - we were able to safely bring the dogs in our care. Truman is a happy boy who loves to play, get cuddles and be around people. He LOVES to give hugs!!! He is good with some dogs, so would need a proper introduction and needs a little help with his social skills, so another well adjusted dog friendly dog that could show him the ropes would be best. Children 12 years old or older. His forever home is REQUIRED to have a totally enclosed physically fenced yard where he can run, play and hang out with his people. Truman is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, on heartworm preventative and crate trained. Working on potty training. Handsome Truman cannot wait to find his forever family who will love him, spoil him and take him on great adventures!! All dogs we rescue stay with us until they find their forever homes. We do not do same day adoptions. A home visit is required to ensure our dog is going to a safe environment and our dog gets along with your dog(s) and/or cat(s). We require all of our dogs over the age of one year to attend 1 obedience class (class is 6 week session) outside the home. You must live within 1 hour of Birmingham, MI to adopt one of our dogs. No out of state or outside the U.S. adoptions or fosters. Truman’s adoption fee is $300.
