About Marvin Needs A
Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today. Meet Marvin, a handsome Terrier mix with a story of resilience. Estimated to have been born in 2022, Marvin was found as a stray in Detroit, surviving harsh conditions in a roofless garage during the freezing cold. In desperate need of care, he was rushed to the ER vet for being emaciated and hypothermic, and after several days of excellent care, Marvin gained weight and flourished in his foster home. Marvin's personality shines—he loves curling up in your lap, is incredibly friendly, playful, and a big fan of cuddles. He is food and treat motivated, eager to please, and absolutely adores squeaky toys. Walks are especially exciting for Marvin; his enthusiasm sometimes leads to pulling, but he is a quick learner so this should improve with gentle guidance. He interacts well with dogs, especially those his size, though no information is available on how he does with cats. Marvin is recommended for homes with children aged 12 or older and would thrive as a companion rather than a traditional family dog. He will need a home with a fully enclosed, physically fenced yard so he can safely play and relax. Marvin is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, on heartworm preventative, and house trained. Please note, Marvin's rescue does not do same day adoptions, requires a home visit, and all dogs over a year old must attend an obedience class outside the home. Adopters must reside within one hour of Birmingham, MI. Marvin can’t wait to find a forever family who will love and pamper him as he deserves. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
