About Ivy Needs A Forever
Meet Ivy Needs A Forever, a joyful and social medium-sized mixed terrier with a golden short coat. She was born on December 3, 2024, so she's a Sagittarius—expect a playful, adventurous spirit. Ivy came into rescue after her mother was saved from a difficult situation, and though she overcame Barbesia as a pup, she's now healthy and eager for her next chapter. She loves people, hanging out with dogs and cats, and can’t resist a good toy or an outdoor adventure. Ivy thrives exploring and needs a fully enclosed, physically fenced yard where she can safely run and play. She is spayed, current on her shots, and on heartworm prevention. Ivy gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children (age 7+). She’s not yet house trained, so continued consistency and patience will help her succeed. Her rescue requires every adopter to attend two, six-week obedience classes with her and only considers adopters living within an hour of Birmingham, MI. No same day adoptions are allowed, and a home visit is part of the process to ensure the right match for both family and dog. Ivy can’t wait to meet the loving humans ready to welcome her into their world. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
