I'm Shiva, a 42-pound Terrier mix with a tender heart that's been feeling pretty overwhelmed lately. I get very anxious in new places, and right now I spend a lot of time pacing and trying to find a way outside, just looking for something familiar. The one thing that brings me comfort is being close to Bean, the dog I came in with - we're truly bonded, and being apart makes both of us panic. When I'm with Bean, I can breathe a little easier, and it helps me stay grounded. Even with all my worry, I'm a deeply sweet and affectionate girl who loves full-body rubs and will happily cover you in kisses whenever I can. My attention bounces around because of my anxiety, but once I start to feel safe, my real personality slowly peeks through - soft, loving, and eager to trust. I would do best in a home with plenty of space and a big yard where I can settle in without all the noise and small confined space of apartment life. With patience, consistency, and Bean by my side, I know I can blossom into the calm, affectionate companion I'm meant to be.
