Hi there! I'm Zara, a 52-pound Terrier mix with a gentle soul and a soft, thoughtful approach to new situations. I can be a little shy and unsure at first, but once I'm given some time and space to decompress, I open up quickly and let my personality shine. One of my absolute favorite things in the world is a squeaky toy-I love carrying it around with me and giving it a good squeak while I go about my day. I also enjoy exploring and can be quite nosey at times, always needing to check out everything with my curious little nose. I do best when life moves at my pace, since I can get overwhelmed if things feel rushed. I also have a few special care needs, including chronic ear infections and a food allergy, so I'll need a family who's willing to stick to a special diet and keep up with regular ear care to help me feel my best. With patience, understanding, and gentle guidance, I'll be a loving, playful companion who's ready to share quiet adventures and lots of squeaky-toy fun with you. My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society. All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
