About Salmon
Salmon’s story began with hardship—she was one of 18 cats trying to make it on a North Hills property, where kindness from humans was rare. Over the past three years in foster care, she has become used to reliable meals and a few gentle routines. Salmon wears her feelings openly; her worried face is almost always on display, and she keeps a few feet away, quietly observing. She lounges on her bed or cat shelves, always nearby but not quite ready for laps or long petting sessions. What she needs most is an adopter with patience—someone who can offer a calm, predictable environment and give her time to adjust, starting off slow in a single room. Salmon gets along well with other cats and seems happiest with a feline companion. Dogs are a non-starter for her. A quiet home would suit her best, though she might adjust to older, respectful, cat-savvy kids. She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative, and eager for the safe, low-key life she missed early on. She’s still shy but has shown she can learn to trust those who give her space and time. Your home could be the place where she finally blossoms. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
