About Malachi
Malachi is a shy but sweet boy who prefers watching life from the sidelines, quietly observing everything going on around him. In his foster home, he's earned the nickname 'the watcher' because he likes being near people, though he isn't quick to jump in or play right away. Malachi needs an adopter who can be patient and gentleāloud sounds and quick movements still make him nervous. He doesnāt quite know how to ask for attention, but if you catch him while heās relaxed, heāll happily accept ear, chin, or butt scratches, sometimes even stretching out in appreciation. As he settles in, you'll hear him start to purr and knead his paws. He enjoys hanging out high up on his cat tree, lounging in cozy beds, getting brushed, and snacking on treatsāTemptations and Churu are his favorites, especially when offered by hand. Stuffed mice and rubber toys keep him entertained. Malachi currently lives with his friend Suomi, and theyād love to be adopted together, or Malachi can join a household with another gentle cat who likes to cuddle. He could also adjust to a calm dog with slow introductions, but small children might be too overwhelming for him. Malachi is about 2 years old, neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and has negative FIV/FeLV results. If you want a gentle companion and perhaps a bonded pair, Malachi (and Suomi) might be just what youāre looking for. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
