About Vela
Who could resist such a sweet face? Meet Vela, a stunning charcoal beauty who has traveled from New Mexico in hopes of finding her forever home. After leaving behind a rough situation, she's blossomed into a lovable companion thanks to the care of her foster family. Vela is still mastering potty training, impressing her foster mom with her determination—despite the snowy Minnesota weather. While the kennel isn't her favorite yet, she finds comfort cuddling with people and promises to try her best if given toys to entertain herself. This affectionate pup loves sharing the bed with her foster mom at night, showering her with kisses to start the day. Vela hasn't met young children yet and, as she's still working on her manners and has sharp puppy teeth, she might do best with older kids for now. She's sociable with other dogs, living harmoniously with her foster siblings and enjoying play and cuddles with them. Though she's never met a cat, Vela shows little prey drive and is happy to coexist with other creatures. She's eager to learn and would thrive in obedience classes, wanting nothing more than to be the best dog she can be for her new family. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
