About Pumpkin

Pumpkin is a friendly, affectionate pup who made a long journey from the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota after surviving as a stray. When she first arrived, she was scared and cautious—tail tucked and keeping to herself. Once she trusts you, though, Pumpkin quickly warms up and reveals a goofy, cuddy personality. She loves to be in your lap, chew on bones, and chase balls around the yard. While still a bit wary of strangers, she's all heart with her people and is known for being exceptionally well-behaved. There’s never been a chewed-up shoe or potty accident with her; Pumpkin sticks to her schedule and listens well. This golden-hued, large mixed-breed girl thrives around other dogs—her foster says a companion dog at home is a must. She's house and crate trained, and while she's generally a quiet presence, she doesn't hesitate to make herself heard when necessary. Though Pumpkin has puppy energy and would enjoy a fenced yard, she’ll do fine as long as she gets plenty of walks or runs. However, Pumpkin isn’t the right fit for homes with children. Her foster family vouches that she’s all love and cuddles and will bring joy to any adult household willing to make her part of the pack. Born December 13, Pumpkin is a Sagittarius, which means she’s adventurous and full of surprises. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
