About Minnie
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Minnie, also called Minnie Moo Bear by her foster parents! At three years old, this bright and energetic Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler and American Staffordshire Terrier mix sports beautiful spots and an award-worthy smile. She recently made the trip from Fargo and has settled in smoothly with her foster family. Minnie’s laid-back and adaptable nature means she’s always happy to relax and cuddle indoors, but when it’s time to go outside, she’s full of excitement and ready to play. Minnie is learning the ins and outs of fetch and is already a pro at chasing after the ball. You’ll be pleased to know that Minnie is potty trained; she hasn’t had a single accident since her arrival and knows to do her business before playtime. Her kennel is her cozy sanctuary, used for naps, relaxation, and sleep—she feels comfortable and secure there and is never fussy at night. Minnie gets along well with the basics like sit, lay down, and shake (‘paw’), and she’s currently mastering “boop.” She walks nicely on a leash, though she’s got a strong prey drive when she spots squirrels or rabbits, so she’s working on staying focused during walks. She’s excited to join in on runs with her foster mom soon! Minnie currently lives with two cats. She doesn’t bother with the older cat, but sometimes tries to herd the younger one, which isn’t always appreciated. Because of this and a preference for her own space, Minnie may do best as the only pet in her future home. She hasn’t had recent experience with other dogs but shows potential to get along well with the right companion. When meeting new people, Minnie can be a little shy at first but soon opens up, rolling over for belly rubs and showing her sweet, affectionate side. She is a true velcro dog, happiest being involved in whatever her people are doing. Minnie is looking for an active, loving family who can provide her with both relaxing days and playful adventures—from lounging on the couch and watching TV to running, hiking, or exploring new places together. She’s building confidence in unfamiliar environments and is sure to become a loyal adventure buddy with just a little encouragement. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
