About Matzo
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Meet Matzo, also known as Reggie, a lively large mixed-breed American Staffordshire Terrier and Boxer searching for his perfect forever home. Matzo is a playful and energetic "teenager" who missed out on early training and is looking for a bully-savvy adopter ready to provide him with structure and boundaries. While he gets along with other dogs in playgroups and enjoys making new friends at daycare, he tends to be extra excitable and needs someone who can help guide his enthusiasm. He's smart and quick to learn—already mastering sit, lay down, and shake—and is making great progress with crate training and leash walking. Matzo would thrive in a home where people are around more often than not, as he's still learning that time alone is brief and nothing to worry about. He's known to be talkative during playtime, which is typical for his boxer side, and he loves to snuggle whenever he gets the chance. According to his foster, he's okay with dog-savvy cats, making him a versatile addition to many household types. If you're searching for a trainable, affectionate, and active companion, Matzo is ready to meet you! Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
