About Ned

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Introducing Ned, a captivating pup with a unique black coat that glimmers brown in the sunlight and adorable white markings on his toes. Despite his adorably grumpy-looking face, Ned is nothing but happiness and wiggles! He made his way to Minnesota with his siblings, Dusty and Lucky Day—appropriately known as the Three Amigos. Though his bark may sound tiny and surprising for his breed, Ned’s heart is huge. He’s potty trained, kennel trained, and trustworthy enough to have free reign while you're away. At night, he snuggles right up with his foster mom, which is just how he likes it. Ned is eager to learn and knows sit, off, come, and wait—he’s working on mastering down and stay. He’d love training classes with you, which would also be a great bonding experience. This playful guy enjoys chasing anything that rolls, tug-o-war with unstuffed toys, searching for treats, and practicing his refined snuggling techniques—which he offers anywhere, anytime! While he’s still learning not to surf the counters, he listens to corrections and is improving every day. Ned revels in wrestling and play with dogs of all sizes, often showing his teeth and gums to look tough (even if it mostly makes people laugh). He's not meant to be an only dog and truly needs another dog companion for support and play, as he finds comfort and warmth cuddling with his current canine friends. He’s trusted with a 10-year-old human foster sister and happily greets her friends. While he hasn’t met cats, he’s curious and likely to want to make friends. Ned eats meals from a Snuffle Mat to help pace his enthusiastic eating and drinks water in small amounts due to his fast habits. This world-class snuggler loves human attention most of all; cuddles after a day of play are his dream. For Ned, the perfect home is one where he is an integral part of the family, with plenty of play, learning, walks, and—most important—snuggles, including sleeping on the bed if allowed! His playful, loving, and loyal nature promises joy and laughter every day. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
