About Tanner
Tanner started life with a rough hand, but he hasn't let it change his loving nature. He is a small, 2-year-old Chihuahua, weighing about 15 lbs, with a soft, blond-tan short coat. Playful and sweet, Tanner is always up for a lap cuddle or belly rub. His favorite activities are chasing toys, cozying up, or romping with other dogs. He gets along with cats and appreciates a busy, social home. Tanner must have another small, playful dog in the house—he thrives with canine company. Apartments or homes with large dogs aren't a fit for him. His ideal adopter will have a secure yard (no chain link), and a home in the Dallas Metroplex or close by. A one-week home trial is available to make sure it's a match. Tanner’s ready to find his people and make himself at home for good. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

Questions about Tanner
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Tanner, as a Chihuahua, does best in homes with attentive families or individuals. He's particularly well-suited for houses with a secure yard, rather than apartments, since he needs room to play safely indoors and out.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
As a small dog, Tanner the Chihuahua doesn’t need tons of space but does benefit from a secure backyard for playing and potty breaks. Daily walks and playtime in a safe, enclosed area help keep him fit and happy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahuas like Tanner can be great with older, respectful children. Their small size means interaction with toddlers should be supervised, but Tanner’s friendly nature suggests he could do well in a family setting.
