About Tanner
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Tanner is a charming chihuahua with a heart full of love. Rescued with his mom and siblings as a puppy, Tanner has grown into a sweet, affectionate young dog, about 2 years old and weighing around 15 pounds. He thrives on belly rubs and adores curling up in a warm lap, making him the perfect companion for someone looking for a loving and playful dog. His beautiful yellow-tan and apricot short coat adds to his delightful appearance. Tanner gets along famously with other dogs and cats, and loves interactive play with toys and friendly pups. It is important that Tanner's forever home has another small, playful dog for companionship. Large dogs and apartments aren't a good fit for him, and homes with chain link fencing are not suitable. He is fully house trained, up to date on vaccines, and neutered. If adopted, a one-week home trial is provided to ensure the best match. Those hoping to foster or adopt should live in the Dallas Metroplex or surrounding area. Did you know? Tanner was born under the sign of Leo—true to his sign, he is affectionate and adores being the center of attention! Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Questions about Tanner
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Chihuahuas are best suited for homes where they can be close to their owners, as they love companionship. They do well in small houses and condos, provided they are kept warm and safe.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Chihuahuas do not need a large yard but will enjoy short outdoor play sessions or walks. They are quite adaptable and can thrive with regular indoor activities and brief time outside.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
While chihuahuas can be loving with respectful, gentle children, their small size makes them less ideal for homes with very young kids. Older children who understand how to interact gently are better suited.
