Corbin is a baby male Great Pyrenees/Akbash mix living in Whitewright, TX. He’s already neutered and has received three rounds of vaccinations. With his extra-large size and a background raised among livestock, Corbin will benefit from structured training and a home ready for an energetic, intelligent companion.

About Corbin

Corbin arrived at Bluebonnet after being born in a pasture in Central Texas, right among goats and longhorn cattle. His mother is an Akbash, and his father is likely Akbash or Great Pyrenees, both known for their working instincts. Raised around livestock guardian dogs, Corbin is comfortable outdoors but is still young and in need of significant training and supervision, whether he becomes a family companion or livestock guardian. He has already received three rounds of vaccinations, regular deworming, and monthly preventives. While there is a requirement for all adopted puppies to be neutered, Corbin may go home first under a provisional agreement finalized post-surgery. Corbin is accustomed to goats, cattle, and has seen barn cats, though he’ll need a careful introduction to house cats. He has not encountered chickens, so supervision is key if he is to be around poultry. He does get along with other dogs. With the right guidance, Corbin is set up to be a loving companion or a reliable guardian. Start your journey together! Apply now.

Questions about Corbin

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Corbin’s Great Pyrenees/Akbash mix background makes him well suited to spacious rural homes, especially those with farms or ranches, though he can also adapt to a family environment with a large, secure yard.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

As an extra-large livestock guardian mix, Corbin will thrive with a large yard or acreage, enjoying plenty of room to roam and stay active. Small yards or apartments won’t meet his needs.
