Emma is a young, extra-large mixed breed with Akbash and Great Pyrenees heritage. She is spayed and has received multiple rounds of vaccinations. Emma is currently in Whitewright, TX, and gets along with other dogs. She has been exposed mainly to goats and cattle and would do well with continued, thoughtful training, especially given her livestock guardian background.

About Emma

Emma was born outdoors on a Central Texas ranch, her Akbash mother Victoria raising her in the middle of grazing goats and longhorn cattle. With livestock guardian breeds in her heritage—Akbash and likely Great Pyrenees—Emma and her siblings have been surrounded by working dogs and livestock since day one. She’s had multiple rounds of vaccinations, deworming, and preventives. Because she is already spayed, you won’t have to handle that yourself, but Texas law does require a provisional agreement if adoption is finalized before surgery. Emma can transition into a home as a companion or step into livestock guardian duties, with proper supervision and training. She’s met goats, cattle, and barn cats, but not poultry—if you have cats at home, gradual and supervised introductions are a must. She gets along with other dogs, but you’ll want to guide her as she learns about house life or livestock work. She’s at the start of her journey and needs an owner ready for large-breed puppy habits, guidance, and plenty of patience. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
