About William Wallace
William Wallace grew up on a Central Texas ranch surrounded by livestock and over sixty other dogs, all living feral. His start was rough; when first trapped, he and his siblings were terrified of people. But William Wallace stood out—he was the boldest, the first to push his boundaries, living up to his namesake's spirit. Gradually, he learned to trust: time in foster care helped him start crate and house training, and he met several new dogs and even a house cat. His foster also exposed him to the rhythms of indoor life, which he's taking in stride. After a brief stay indoors for a minor surgical recovery, William Wallace has been reintroduced to home life, interacting confidently with both people and dogs. While he’s not yet a fan of leashes, he’s making steady progress and should improve with patience and routine. He's friendly, curious, and much more comfortable than when he arrived. Expect him to reach 85–100 lbs at maturity, with a look reminiscent of Akbash and Great Pyrenees. William Wallace does well with other dogs and continues to adapt well to new situations.
