Essex is a charming little guy, currently in foster care in Houston, TX. At about 5 years old and weighing 10 lbs, he embodies the spirited personality of a Cockapoo, captivating everyone with his playful antics. He enjoys frolicking around the yard and keeps himself entertained with toys. Essex has a strong alpha personality, so he would thrive best as an only dog or with one other laid-back companion. He’s great for a single owner or a retiree looking for a loyal friend. While he walks well on a leash and is nearly house trained, Essex does require an experienced adopter to guide him. After being rescued, he was shaved down due to matting, but his long coat is growing back beautifully. Please note that Essex is not suitable for homes with children under 8.
