This handsome fellow is part Spaniel and part Shar-Pei, which adds to his unique charm. He is house trained and is doing well in his crate, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt.

Meet Werthers, a charming senior gentleman who is around 12 years old and weighs about 41 lbs. He found his way to Mostly Mutts when he needed a new home, and now he’s ready to find his forever family. Werthers is a sweet and friendly guy with an amusing personality. While he may move a bit slower these days, his curiosity and spunk are still very much alive. He can be a little hard of hearing and may display some uncertainty at times, but his loving nature always shines through. During bath time, he didn’t hold back on the adorably pitiful sounds that he made, instantly capturing the hearts of those around him. At Mostly Mutts, he’s met other dogs and showed interest without any signs of aggression, so if you have a friendly dog at home, feel free to bring them along for a meet-and-greet. Cats are unknown, and since he hasn’t met children yet, it’s advisable to avoid homes with toddlers. Werthers is currently enrolled in a training program where he’s mastered commands like sit, stay, and leave it. He enjoys learning and is looking forward to continuing his training in his forever home, especially with the free lifetime classes offered by Mostly Mutts. His adoption fee is waived, and he is ready for a family who will shower him with love, attention, and maybe a few tasty treats.
