About Gina

Meet Gina, a one-year-old spayed female Belgian Malinois mix, weighing 56 lbs. Rescued from life on the streets, she was found living in a cardboard box near a busy road. Despite a rough start, Gina has blossomed in her foster home in Houston, TX, and is ready for a loving forever family. She enjoys the company of her smaller dog friends, engaging in playful tug-of-war games. Although Gina is friendly with familiar dogs, she can be shy around larger, unknown dogs due to past experiences, so slow introductions are essential. Gina does best in a cat-free home as she can be quite excited around felines. She has not been around children in her current foster care, but a home with older, dog-savvy kids aged 10 and up would be ideal. An active household where someone plays with her daily would suit her perfectly. Gina thrives on human interaction and adores toys—often collecting them to keep in her bed. Gina is house and crate trained and can comfortably stay in her crate for up to eight hours. She walks well on a leash and shows no signs of separation anxiety. An adopter who understands the needs of a large, energetic puppy and is dedicated to her training, socialization, and exercise would help her grow into a well-mannered adult. Gina is in Mooresville, NC, and is ready to bring joy to her new family. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
