Indie is the sort of dog who finds happiness simply being near you and soaking in attention; her mellow spirit makes her a true companion animal. She’s affectionate and calm, happiest curled up beside her people, though lately her playful side is coming out as she settles in and gains confidence. Watching Indie discover how to just be a dog has been a quiet joy. Indie is house trained, crate trained, and walks well on leash. She’s also impressively quiet—rarely making a sound—and is a fantastic passenger in the car. She gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children, making her a smooth fit for many different types of homes. Toys don’t interest her much yet, but she’s still warming up and discovering more about the world every day. Indie is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, and the rescue will continue to cover these medical costs after adoption. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.
