Indie is a 2–3-year-old pittie mix with the sweetest soul and a gentle, loving personality. She’s about 40 pounds with a shorter, compact build, and truly the definition of a companion dog, happy just being by your side. Indie absolutely loves people. She’s affectionate, calm, and happiest when she’s curled up next to you soaking in all the pets and attention. While she has a soft, mellow demeanor, she’s also started to show a playful side as she continues to come out of her shell, it’s been so special watching her learn how to just be a dog. She’s fully crate trained, house trained, and leash trained, making her an easy addition to a home. Indie gets along wonderfully with other dogs, kids, and even cats. She’s very quiet (you may never even hear her bark!) and rides great in the car. She’s not overly interested in toys just yet, but as her confidence grows, we expect her personality to continue to blossom. Indie is heartworm positive and currently undergoing treatment. If adopted during this time, Sloan & Finn Animal Rescue will continue to support and cover her treatment. She is otherwise spayed and up to date on all vaccines. Indie would do well in just about any home environment, house, apartment, or townhome, as long as she has someone to love.
