About Sequoia

Meet Sequoia, a gentle nine-month-old Malamute and German Shepherd mix weighing 60 pounds. Her journey hasn’t been easy; she came to us after being seized by Animal Control with six other dogs. Although a large gash on her inner thigh has healed beautifully, her emotional recovery is still ongoing. Sequoia’s world is unfamiliar. She’s still adjusting to walks on a leash, new people, and everyday experiences. While she may appear a bit flighty and unsure, her true nature shines through as a kind, sweet dog eager to trust. She isn’t yet leash trained, so she needs a patient adopter who can help her build confidence over time. Each small victory will be significant. With love and gentle socialization, we believe Sequoia will flourish into the wonderful companion she’s meant to be. If you have a calm home and the patience to guide her, you’ll have the rewarding experience of watching this deserving girl learn that the world can be safe and joyful. Could you be the one to give Sequoia the fresh start she deserves?
