About Chico
Chico is a striking Alaskan Malamute with a calm, easygoing presence. His current family is rehoming him due to health issues, but they've raised a friendly, well-mannered companion. Born in early 2022, Chico tips the scale at about 95 lbs and wears a white and cream coat that's unmistakable at the dog park. He blends playful bursts—especially if squeaky toys are involved—with a mellow temperament that keeps things peaceful at home. Chico’s fully house trained and eager to show off basic commands like sit and give paw. He’s good on leash, rides well in the car, and meets strangers (including guests and delivery folks) with a wag instead of a bark. Chico gets along with other dogs and older kids, though he hasn’t lived with young children. He is not suitable for homes with cats. A standard-height fence is sufficient to keep him safe, even though he’s a large dog. His ideal home is one where he'll get both affection and activity—someone to play with, but also someone content to have a big buddy lounging nearby. If you’re looking for a large, gentle dog who fits seamlessly into an easygoing household, Chico is ready to meet you. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!
