About Peterman
Peterman is a survivor through and through, sporting an adorable furrowed brow and a thick, muscular build that hints at his Malamute and Shepherd mix roots. Found as a very young, sick puppy in a tough spot by the river, Peterman bounced back from a series of serious medical issues that would have dropped most dogs. He faced down a facial abscess, parvo, and some early leg problemsāpushing through every obstacle thanks to determination, good care, and a shot at the right medical treatment. Heās about a year old now and healthier than ever. This guy has a dense, short coat, heavy limbs, and a strong back. His temperament is exactly what you'd expect from his breeds: slow-moving but alert, gentle, a bit independent, and good with other dogs, cats, andāgiven a patient introductionāchildren. Heās crate and house trained, loves toys and treat time, and while he will guard his food from other dogs, heās happy eating in his crate. Peterman adapts well in foster care, traveling well albeit a bit clumsy getting in, and enjoys hanging outside or relaxing with his people. Heās neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccines. Heās ready for a committed home that will appreciate the mellow, affectionate dog heās become. He is in Yakima, WA, and loves his quiet moments and fun in the yard. A real "never say never" kind of spirit. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
