About Peterman

Meet Peterman, the magnificent spirit who has truly overcome the odds! 🌟 With a furrowed brow that steals hearts and a round, adorable backside that begs for belly rubs, this remarkable survivor is every ounce a triumph of resilience. If he were a cat, he might have used up a few lives along his journey. But oh, no one tells Peterman that! In his mind, he's the Little Engine That Could, and we believe that he can keep rolling down the track of life, full speed ahead! 🚂💨 Peterman’s early life was anything but easy. Discovered by a compassionate cat rescue volunteer near a homeless encampment by the Yakima River, he was just a puppy—barely old enough to leave his momma—showing signs of serious health issues including a huge swelling on his face that made him look sickly. Thankfully, the kind soul intervened, and Peterman was surrendered for the much-needed medical care. After enduring such harsh conditions, he arrived at the rescue, feeling defeated and emaciated. Upon arrival, he was immediately taken to the vet, where tests revealed he was battling parvo—a deadly virus. 😢 But don’t ever underestimate Peterman’s fighting spirit! With determination and lots of love, he began treatment, all while dealing with the swelling that was making it hard for him to breathe. Imagine this brave little hero lying still on the operating table while they drained the abscess—what a champ! 🦸‍♂️ Fast forward a few days, and our brave boy started bouncing back into his bright self, showing signs of loving life again. His goofy personality began to shine as he delighted in the simple joys of cuddles under a tree, chasing toys, and savoring sunbaths. ☀️ With every wag of his tail, he proved he was ready to embrace a happier chapter. As Peterman grew, challenges still emerged. His legs wobbled, but just like a trooper, he adapted and within days was strutting around like the proud pup he is! Today, Peterman is a sturdy 48 lbs and about 7-8 months old. 💪✨ His unique mix of Mastiff and Malamute means he’s a hefty cuddle bug with a gentle heart. He’s been lovingly neutered and is finally ready for his forever home! Peterman thrives with other dogs, has been around cats, and even shows interest in horses—what a social butterfly! 🦋 He’s crate trained, and while he’s a little unsure about entering a car sometimes, he travels well once he’s in. He does have a big heart and a big appetite, though he can be a bit possessive over his food, so it’s best to let him dine in his own space. Wouldn’t you want to welcome this delightful, snugglicious boy into your life? Peterman deserves a family full of love and warmth! ❤️ To bring this amazing pup home, and to learn more, please *apply through the Buddy App*! 🐾 Make sure you meet him in person, as he can’t wait to meet you!
