About Max
Max is an approx. 1-year-old, 14-pound tri-color chihuahua mix with an expressive face and a smile that melts hearts. His playful and affectionate nature makes him a delightful companion. As a young dog, Max is full of energy and loves to follow his person around the house, eventually curling up for a cuddle or snoozing in their arms. While he's mostly house-trained, he may still have the occasional mishap while adjusting to a new environment, so consistent training will be beneficial. Max is eager to please, thanks to his food motivation, making positive reinforcement the perfect training method for him. He enjoys toys, especially chew and squeaky ones, and loves playing chase with friendly dogs. He currently lives with another small dog and thrives in their company, although he would also be happy receiving all the attention himself. Max is non-aggressive with cats and gets along well with kids, although older children may suit him better due to his youthful exuberance. He enjoys car rides and basks in the sun, making him a great outdoor companion. A fenced yard is essential for him to run and play safely. Max sleeps comfortably in bed with his person or nearby in his own bed at night. His foster family adores him for his charming antics and sweet personality.
