Poppie
AvailablePoppie is a chihuahua/pug mix located in Osteen, FL. She is an adult, spayed female with a medium build and is house trained. Her vaccinations are up to date. Though she needs daily easy joint-strengthening exercises, Poppie is otherwise a healthy, friendly dog looking for a calm, stable home.
About Poppie
Poppie comes with a curly-Q tail and plenty of heart. At around 7-8 years old and a possible chihuahua/pug mix, she’s working her way to a healthier weight with the help of controlled meals and short walks. Poppie loves stretching out in the sun and chasing lizards in the yard—she’ll need a home with a fenced outdoor space where she can lounge safely. Raised with other small and medium dogs and used to group living, she gets along well with dogs. She’s a bit unpredictable with cats and is best suited for a household without them. She’s happiest curled up next to you in bed and is always up for belly rubs or a veggie snack—her favorite treats are broccoli, zucchini, and cauliflower. She needs a bit of oversight with her housetraining, since she relies on you to take her out regularly. After dental surgery to remove seven teeth, she’s recovered well. Her only ongoing medical concern is a mild luxating patella that doesn’t seem to bother her but does require a simple daily exercise routine and no strenuous walks—she enjoys taking turns strolling and riding in her stroller. Poppie travels calmly in the car, greets people and dogs with warm friendliness, and shows her personality with talkative charm and requests for affection. An adult-only home is required, and anyone interested must be able to lift her (currently 18 pounds) for stroller rides. Whoever brings Poppie home gets a laid-back, loving companion ready for her forever family. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
