About Blanket

Blanket—also known as Spud or Little Man—is an eight-year-old, small Chihuahua/Terrier mix with a personality that's mostly gentle and quietly affectionate. This little guy was surrendered after his previous owner could no longer care for him, but he’s been making the most of his foster home. At about 11 lbs and working on dropping a pound, Blanket enjoys sunbathing and exploring the backyard. He's house trained, does well with dogs his size and up, and prefers gentle, respectful older children if there are any in the home. Blanket gravitates toward his person for cuddles and follows them around the house, always hoping for a few pets and some quality lap time. He's currently learning to enjoy toys—a recent development—but mostly carries one for comfort, especially while waiting for his meals. Not leash trained and a bit nervous about being picked up, he’s happiest with a calm routine. Blanket has a heart murmur, but it doesn’t require any medication. He sleeps quietly in his crate and takes treats gently. If you have a quiet home in the Central Florida Orlando area and want a steady, affectionate companion, Blanket might be your guy.
