Buck-A-Roo is fostered in Plymouth, MI This gorgeous red merle male Australian Shepherd is about 2–3 years old and weighs approximately 70 pounds — a big, beautiful dog with an even bigger heart. He's sweet, loving, and has the most wonderful temperament. Buck-A-Roo is a great mix of active and laid-back: he absolutely loves going for walks, but he's just as happy curling up and lounging around the house with you. He's playful without being over-the-top energetic — the perfect balance for someone who wants a fun companion without the chaos of a high-drive dog. He's already well on his way to being the ideal pet. He's potty trained, knows sit and stay, takes treats gently, and is highly food motivated — which means training him will be a breeze. He's ready to learn and eager to please. Best of all, he gets along great with other dogs, so if you have a furry family member at home, he'd love to have a buddy! He does well leash walking and in his crate, but this is something his foster home is working with to get both more solidified. He isn't the biggest fan of his crate and does pull some on leash. Buck-A-Roo is FANTASTIC in the car and he EXCELS at fetch. Due to his size, we'd recommend a home without small children, but he'd thrive with older kids, adults, or any dog-loving household looking for a devoted four-legged companion. Buck-A-Roo is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms. Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.
