About Choo Choo
Welcome to Camp Cocker, Choo Choo! Choo Choo is currently being fostered in the Los Angeles area after being rescued from a puppy mill by our partners, Cocker Friends Korea. Nothing would bring this little guy more joy than settling into his new forever home soon. Choo Choo has remarkable social skills and genuinely loves people. He warmly greets everyone, even strangers, and often rolls onto his back for belly rubs and affection. While he enjoys being petted, he’s still figuring out how to actively ask for cuddles or kisses. Occasionally, he may give gentle licks to show his affection. With other dogs, Choo Choo is curious and sociable. He behaves well at dog parks and always seeks interaction, though he's still learning the ropes of proper play. If another dog seems uncomfortable with his attempts to play, he stops immediately. Despite his playful energy, he remains cheerful and is not intimidated by more reactive dogs. His training in sit and wait has helped manage his excitement around food and treats. Puppy mill dogs, including Choo Choo, need special adopters who are patient and understanding. Potty training may take time, and this dog breed thrives on force-free training, as they often come from fearful backgrounds. A home without children and with controlling adult supervision at exits is preferable. Having another confident dog can also help Choo Choo adjust and feel secure.
