About Libby

Libby has settled into foster care in Los Angeles County after being rescued from a Northern California shelter. She’s a friendly and genuinely sweet Cocker Spaniel who enjoys being around people and is social with dogs—though she needs to be the only dog in her home. Libby went through a lot physically: she was hit by a car and required several surgeries, including FHO and operations on both knees, followed by months of therapy. Thanks to dedicated volunteers and thorough post-operative care, Libby has recovered beautifully and is now ready to find her forever home. While Libby enjoys interacting with people, she does like to guard her food and toys from other dogs, so she will do best as a single dog in the household. She is house trained, has a medium coat, and is up to date on vaccinations. Libby will bring warmth and companionship to any home that values her unique spirit and history.
