About Bluey

Bluey is being fostered in the San Francisco area and is looking for a home with another confident dog to help him navigate new experiences. At just 16 pounds, Bluey’s trademark move is to curl up in your arms at bedtime, letting out a dramatic sigh before dozing off. He does best with a solid routine—if you take him out every 2-3 hours, he’ll keep his accidents outside. His foster mom says Bluey is going wild for his meals and is gaining weight steadily. Playtime isn’t just fun, it’s a whole performance—he loves fetch and a good-natured tug-of-war, sharing toys generously but preferring to eat separately from other dogs. Bluey can be shy in unfamiliar places, but a confident canine friend helps him build courage. Out on walks, he takes it slow, never pulling on the leash, and likes to soak in the scenery. Sudden noises or busy shops can make him nervous, but he adapts if given time. He’s fine with grooming if approached gently—just avoid squeezing his paws too quickly. A true howler, Bluey sings along to music or TV, working on perfecting his “inside voice.” He’s a champion at requesting belly rubs and will keep politely tapping until you give in. He’s house trained but still sporting belly bands until his upcoming neuter. Bluey is whip-smart, already knowing SIT, DOWN, COME, and OFF, and he’s eager to learn more with someone invested in a little training. Confident, affectionate, and playful, Bluey is ready to meet the person who will appreciate all the quirks and routines that make him unique. Click apply to start the adoption process.
