He is currently being fostered in Los Angeles County. Hero is nine years old and, despite a loving past with his previous family, he and his siblings were relinquished due to circumstances that made maintaining their healthcare needs challenging. Their previous owners put in tremendous effort to care for them and parted ways only out of necessity. Upon arrival, Hero was given a comforting bath and some much-needed care, though he’s still a bit on the "shaggy" side while he settles in. He is sweet and gentle with those he knows but hasn't had much experience out in the big world. New environments, walks, vet visits, and meeting strangers are all new territory for him. Because he’s spent his life closely bonded with his littermates, he’s looking for a home with a confident dog companion to help him gain confidence and learn to navigate new experiences.
