Meet Dana — The Clever Mischief-Maker Dana is the kind of kitten who always seems to be plotting something — usually involving climbing, exploring, wrestling her siblings, or figuring out exactly how to get herself into places she probably shouldn't be. Smart, fearless, and endlessly entertaining, Dana approaches life like it's one big investigation waiting to happen. Her story began last fall when her mama, Betha, appeared on the porch of a kind family in McCarley, Mississippi. Over the next few months, it became clear that Betha was pregnant and searching for a safe place to raise her babies. After Betha gave birth to six kittens (Brianna, Dana, Erin, Finn, Patrick, Ronan), the family reached out for help, and Operation Colony Cats stepped in to bring everyone safely into foster care. Since then, Dana has grown up surrounded by people, toys, and plenty of sibling chaos — and she has absolutely embraced all of it. She's confident, playful, and curious about everything around her. Whether she's scaling the tallest cat tree, sneak-attacking a sibling, or carefully observing the room like a tiny detective, Dana keeps life interesting. Despite her mischievous side, Dana is also incredibly social and affectionate. She loves attention, enjoys interactive play, and would thrive in a home ready for an active, intelligent kitten with a huge personality. If you're looking for a kitten who is equal parts brains, bravery, and comedy relief, Dana is ready to open the case on your heart. Everybody loves kittens, and it's easy to see why! Kittens four months old or younger are only adopted out in pairs or to homes that already have a friendly, playful resident cat. Young kittens simply do not thrive in isolation, and we do not make exceptions. If you're looking for a single cat, please look to our older kittens, teens, or adults. They're wonderful companions and fully ready to be your one-and-only. All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
