Kratos has quite the origin story: this gentle giant spent much of his early life tied to a tree, with a duck as his only companion! Thankfully, he was rescued and has since discovered his true calling — being an absolutely chill, patient, and loving member of a family. And let's just say he's taken to the role beautifully. Kratos is a low-energy, inside-the-house snuggle machine who lives for couch time with his people. He's leash trained, crate trained, and responds well to corrections (though he will treat you to a judgy side-eye or an exasperated sigh when you give one — fair enough, Kratos). A leash walk routine or a yard to stretch his legs is all the exercise this laid-back boy needs, and a 4-foot fence will keep him happily contained since jumping is simply not his thing. Kratos is absolutely wonderful with children — he has charmed the resident 6-year-old and a 13-year-old alike, cheerfully letting them snuggle and lay on him while also playing the role of their unofficial bodyguard. When it comes to other animals, cats don't interest him in the slightest — even a darting kitty won't get a reaction out of him. He does best with calm, lower-energy dog companions, so a mellow fur sibling would make an ideal match. Kratos enjoys the finer things in life: being groomed, petted, snuggled, and the occasional slice of American cheese. His forever home should be ready to shower him with affection and, ideally, offer a calm canine companion to share the couch.
