About Judge Judy & Dolly

Judge Judy and Dolly Parton – where country music meets the courtroom! These Pyr mix sisters bring equal parts sass, sweetness, and Southern charm. Returned to rescue after their owner passed, these two are ready to take their next case: The People vs. Who Gets to Adopt Us? Judge Judy is the honorable energetic hustler who runs her courtroom with confidence. She is fast, focused and always ready to rule. Her foster says “she enjoys attention and always pushes her way in,” which tracks — she’s the kind of judge who bangs the gavel and then demands snacks. She loves people, car rides, and being first. Cats? She’d like to question them, so a no‑cat home is best. She can be dog selective as well. Dolly Parton, the sweet southern songbird is the gentle, low-to-medium-energy half of the act. She’s polite, patient, and “enjoys attention but never pushes her way in.” She warms up slowly, then melts into you like a country love ballad. She gets along great with other dogs, avoids cats like a true lady, and absolutely lives for rolling in the dirt like she’s backstage at a festival. These girls are truly a matched set. Their foster writes that they “run and chase and jump and roll… never tiring of each other’s company.” They eat separately due to mild sibling rivalry, but otherwise coexist beautifully and rely on each other for comfort, confidence, and joy. They respect 5-foot fences, ride well in the car, and are clean, crate‑friendly, and likely housebroken. Judge Judy will need lifelong joint supplements, but she doesn’t let that slow down her rulings. They’d love a family who is home often, a fenced yard, and a calm, loving environment. A single‑level home is preferred for Judge Judy’s hocks. If you’re ready for a little harmony and a few rulings, these sisters are ready to take the stage together! NYS Registered Rescue # RR102 NGPR dogs are in foster homes at the location specified on their full listing. View the full listing (with location, fee and application link) at HTTPS://NATIONALPYR.ORG/ADOPTABLE-DOGS Completion of an application is required to be considered for any dog. Please fill out the application on our website and we will contact you. HTTPS://NATIONALPYR.ORG/ADOPTION-APPLICATION/ Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
