About Oscar In La

Oscar is a big-hearted Great Pyrenees mix who prefers to spend his days handing out affection and gentle goofiness. After losing his longtime home due to his owner's move into care, Oscar made an easy transition into foster life and quickly showed off his charming manners. He’s housebroken, crate trained, and leash trained, and he knows how to sit—he even offers a polite handshake if the mood strikes. Despite his size, Oscar thinks lap space is fair game and snuggles up with anyone willing. He gets along well with female dogs and enjoys living with his canine foster sister. Cats aren’t an issue; he gives them a sniff and then moves along. Oscar is especially patient with older kids who understand how to respect animals, readily soaking up pets and attention. He greets new people without fuss and is relaxed in the home, usually just joining in barking when the rest of the dogs start up. Minimal barking means you won’t find him sounding alarms unnecessarily. Oscar is an easygoing companion on walks and has never bolted or shown escape tendencies, making him a good fit for leash walks or a securely fenced yard. He loves being brushed, riding in cars, and tossing around toys, sometimes getting delightfully silly and making the funniest sleep sounds. His favorite treats are cheese, hot dogs, and peanut butter. Oscar needs daily activity and would thrive with a moderately active family who has plenty of love to give.
