AvailableAbout Levi In Ga
Meet Levi, a young and soulful Great Pyrenees with the gentlest heart you'll ever encounter! This sweet boy was found wandering as a stray in Georgia, but you'd never know it — he carries himself with a calm, wise presence that seems far beyond his years. With his long, fluffy, silky white coat and his easygoing nature, Levi is truly one of those dogs who makes everyone around him feel at ease. Levi is wonderfully well-mannered and comes fully ready for home life — housebroken, crate trained, and leash trained. He has a low-to-medium activity level, and would do well in a leash-walk-only home or one with a 4-foot fenced yard. He's been spotted enjoying outings to Lowe's, Home Depot, Tractor Supply, and PetSmart, where his love of meeting new people really shines. When it comes to housemates, Levi is about as flexible as they come. He does beautifully with all dogs, is indifferent towards cats, is great with kids, and has lived happily alongside goats and chickens. He can also thrive as an only dog if that's the right fit. He's not much of a barker — a rare quality for a Pyr! Levi loves attention, cherishes time with his people, and has a particular fondness for his Bacon-Flavored Benebone. For treats, he's a fan of dried salmon, beef sticks, cheese, and anything chicken. His favorite hobby? — Flopping down on the floor completely stretched out on his back and watching TV with the rest of the pack — yes, really. He especially loves relaxing inside with his foster mom. Levi would thrive in truly any home — he's gentle, loving, and adaptable. NYS Registered Rescue # RR102 NGPR dogs are in foster homes at the location specified on their full listing. Please fill out the application on our website and we will contact you. HTTPS://NATIONALPYR.ORG/ADOPTION-APPLICATION/ Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
