About Queen

Queen is a high-energy, playful, and affectionate female who is looking for a loving home where she can thrive. Surrendered by her owner due to a change in living situation, Queen has mainly lived indoors and is mostly housebroken and fully crate trained. She knows her name and commands like sit, down, and lay down, and she loves engaging with rope toys, playing tug-of-war, running, going to the dog park, napping, and spending time with her people. Queen adores people, is super friendly with strangers, and enjoys being around children, though her interactions with other dogs can vary. She has a lot of energy, so she appreciates a home where she can receive plenty of exercise and attention. Her ideal family would have ample time to spend with her-perhaps a retired owner or a household with older kids-to help her channel her energy in positive ways. Queen's playful nature and trainability make her a joyful companion for the right family ready to give her love, structure, and fun. She is such an easy & sweet pup! Walks so nicely and she is so much fun in the yard! She loves to chase balls but she also loves to sit with me & be pet in the yard. I find her to be gentle and she is also dog friendly & had a nice fence meet with MarSadie 3/20/2026: Volunteer notes Dodged the leash a bit for leashing. Pulls moderately on leash. Pretty jumpy and easily excitable but tires out quickly. Seems to prefer stuffy toys. Picky with treats. Can be mildly mouthy/nibbles. Resistant to return to kennel. Would not step in or follow treat, needed to be lifted in. A gold volunteer noted she had the same issue earlier that day. Leveling up to blue due to difficulty returning to kennel. Playgroup 3/19: Steer test: 3/5 with water. Handler oriented when she entered the yard. Stiff greetings at first. Took some times then she had some short burst of play with the dogs in the yard. Per owner 3/16/26: Surrendered by her owner of 2 years due to her owner's living situation changing (owner is incarcerated) and being unable to have a dog in their apartment. She mainly lived indoors, was mostly housebroken, fully crate trained, high energy, pulls a little on leash, and has never tried to bite. She knows her name, sit, down, lay down, and other commands. She enjoys playing with rope toys, playing tug of war, running, going to the dog park, napping, and hanging out with her owners. She is noted to have too much energy, likes to jump up on people when she gets excited, gets overstimulated, has separation anxiety, will chew items in the home, and pulls too hard on leash. She is super friendly and loves strangers, has no reaction towards children, it depends on the situation with other dogs, and has not been around cats. Her ideal home would be one where the owner is potentially retired and has ample time for her and maybe a home with older kids. The best thing about her is that she is playful and trained. -- ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week.
