About Pickles
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Pickles is a 6-year-old, 66 lb male pit bull mix who embodies true loyalty and affection. Completely housebroken and excellent in the car, Pickles thrives when he can stay close to his people, always eager for attention and companionship. He's happiest right by your side, ready to shower you with love and devotion. Crates aren’t his thing, but he doesn’t need one—he prefers to feel included and comfortable in the heart of family life. Pickles’ energy varies from low to medium, enjoying his walks (where a harness is recommended for those occasional pulls) but also content to relax and cuddle. He’s had some escapist moments in his past, so a secure fenced yard is essential for his safety. This affectionate boy gets along with other dogs, especially larger, laid-back ones, and needs careful, confident doggy introductions due to his excitement and harmless humping habit. Pickles has cohabited successfully with cats and truly loves kids, although, given his enthusiasm and tendency to jump, a home with children 8 or 9 and older is best. Pickles is a champion cuddler with a heart full of love to give. He lives with some hip issues, but supplements keep him comfortable, and he still enjoys playtime. Currently, he is fostered in Levittown, PA, waiting for someone ready to make him part of their family. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
