Ludwig
AvailableLudwig is a white and cream, large, neutered male Pit Bull Terrier mix currently living in Philadelphia, PA. He is an adult, up to date on vaccinations, house trained, and has special needs as he is deaf. Ludwig is smart and eager to learn, thriving in a structured environment where communication happens through hand signals and routine.
About Ludwig
Ludwig is just finishing up his board and train and hopes to skip the kennel by heading straight into a home. Born deaf, he’s learned to read the world differently. He communicates through hand signals, structure, and routine—and he’s thriving with this approach. Calm with routine and crate-trained, Ludwig isn’t reactive during training and learns quickly, especially when food is involved. He feels happiest on walks or during focused training sessions and succeeds with consistent expectations. He needs calm, steady handling and a home that respects his way of connecting. With clear communication and patience, Ludwig makes fantastic progress. His ideal match stays consistent, is open to learning, and doesn’t mind picking up some simple hand signals (guidance is provided). Homes with young children aren’t the best fit, but any adopter ready for a bit of learning will find him rewarding. Ludwig isn’t asking for perfection—just someone to understand him.
