About Minnie
Minnie is the senior dachshund companion who’s content to stay near you all day. At about 11 years old and just under 8 lbs, Minnie is easygoing and calm, with a black and white coat that stands out. She was picked up after wandering alone and has since settled into foster care, showing herself to be a quiet, affectionate presence who loves leash walks and daily company. She can be left alone for short periods and is house trained, though still perfecting her pee pad routine. Minnie does not need a fenced yard and is comfortable in apartments or homes with shared walls, thanks to her low energy demeanor. She gets along well with all dogs and likes gentle adults and older children. Minnie does have a heart condition that requires monitoring by a vet, but no medication is needed for now. She manages mild IVDD and follows a special low fat diet due to pancreatitis. She’s friendly with strangers, peaceful in the car, and has proved trustworthy and relaxed when left uncrated. If you’re looking for a mellow, loyal dog to share quiet moments with, Minnie is ready to offer gentle devotion. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
