About Stella
Stella is a one-year-old spayed female Chihuahua mix with plenty of personality. She arrived with her buddy Buster and was shy at first, needing time and patience to come out of her shell. Once she opens up, Stella shows her sweet and sassy sides with a hint of goofiness—she loves chasing people around the yard and watching what's happening around her. Stella gets along well with other small and large dogs, but she’s still a bit timid around new people, so a patient adopter is a must. If there are kids in the home, older children who respect boundaries are best for her, as rowdy play might overwhelm her. Stella also has an adventurous streak and tends to dart out doors, so her adopter should take care to keep her secure and provide a fenced yard. She’s not house trained yet, so some extra effort will go into her routine, but her affectionate nature makes it worth it. Stella is up to date on her first round of vaccines and ready to meet her new family. If you’re seeking a loyal, silly companion who’ll reward your patience with affection, Stella could be your match. Click apply to start the adoption process.

Questions about Stella
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Stella, as a Chihuahua mix, is best suited for an indoor, attentive home where she can have a secure and cozy environment. Small breeds like hers thrive in places where they feel safe and can bond closely with their adopter.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Stella would enjoy a yard, particularly a secure one, since she can be adventurous. That said, her small size means she also does well with daily walks and indoor play if a secure yard is not an option.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahua mixes like Stella can fit in homes with calm, older children who respect boundaries. Stella’s timid side means she'd do best in a quiet household without boisterous young kids.
