About Buster

Meet Buster! This small Chihuahua mix is about a year old and came in with his buddy Stella. He’s a bit shy at first, but there’s plenty of sweetness and sass once he warms up. Buster needed some time to settle in—the busy shelter environment was a lot for him in the beginning—but now he’s showing more curiosity and his funny side. He does best with patient people who let him build trust at his own pace. Buster has lived with other small dogs and even got along with a large dog during a meeting. He’s seen office cats and mostly kept his distance, preferring to avoid rather than chase. While he hasn’t been around kids much, his timid nature suggests he’d be happiest without young children in the home. Once comfortable, he loves backyard zoomies and has a habit of door-darting, so he needs a secure yard and an adopter who stays on top of open doors. Buster has received his first vaccinations and is ready to meet his new family. He doesn’t need to be adopted with Stella, but they’d make a good pair. Ready to see if Buster’s the one for you?
