About Chip

Think you are the one? Submit an application! Chip is a gentle soul whose sad expression masks a loving heart. He is a 10-year-old, overweight Chihuahua who originally found a family as a puppy, but after nearly a decade, he has returned to the rescue when his owners relocated and left him behind. Chip has made some progress losing weight, though he continues to work on getting healthier. His love for food is strong, and he prefers to eat in his crate if he has furry siblings, as he can be a bit protective during mealtime. Chip isn’t a fan of being picked up, but he enjoys snuggling right next to you for companionship. He does well with other dogs, and while his feelings about cats are unknown, his slow pace means they will likely stay out of his path. Because Chip adores sunbathing, a fenced yard is recommended, since he's prone to wandering if left unattended. He is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Chip is hoping to find a loving home where he can spend his golden years basking in comfort. Chip is a Virgo! Dogs born under this sign often enjoy routine and find happiness in small comforts, just like Chip and his favorite sun spots. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
