About Appletater

Due to his breed, Appletater’s adoption requires manager approval, and can only be finalized Tuesday through Friday, 1 to 4 PM. He’s available for meet-and-greets on weekends if you want to get to know him first—just reach out with any questions. Appletater’s personality is as lively as his name. At 73 pounds, he’s a big, goofy, active dog who wants to be part of everything. He’s affectionate, ready to play or nap at a moment’s notice, and always looking for someone to throw a toy. His ears have a rough look because he recently had surgery on both, and he’ll need a bit of extra care while finishing up his meds and follow-up vet visits for a full recovery. Appletater can’t eat food with corn or chicken due to allergies, but with the right diet, he’s thriving and loving life. He was found running loose in town and ended up looking for a new family when no owner claimed him. He does well with other dogs passing by his kennel, but hasn’t had proper introductions or experience with cats or children, so it’s smart to schedule a meet and greet if you have pets or kids at home. Just note—Appletater gets excited and sometimes jumps, so he could easily knock down someone not steady on their feet. He’s a sweetheart who wants to be part of a household that appreciates both his playful energy and his love of lounging around. He’s had his first round of vaccinations and is ready to find his new home. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
