About Jack Flash

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Jack Flash's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Faster than the speed of light, meet Jack Flash, an 11-month-old Petite Lab mix, weighing 35 pounds (as of 4/21/26). Surrendered by his owners in Mississippi, Jack Flash sped all the way over to New England to become your new best friend and sidekick! Jack is a very loving and happy dog who also happens to be a smart cookie. This boy requires an active lifestyle since he still has a lot of puppy energy. He can't wait to go on hikes, runs, marathons, triathlons, and anything else under the sun with you! No squirrel is safe with this boy around which is great because their reign of terror in your neighborhood will be over! Jack may not be a couch potato, but he does sleep well at night to renew all his strength for the next day. Even though he knows how to to walk on a leash, Jack will need help with manners along with potty training (he's currently kenneled outside), crate training and commands. He's an attentive and alert boy with happy eyes that is sure to charm any stranger, child or other dog as he's great with all. He hasn't met cats yet, but he's looking forward to racing them at the next marathon! And winning! Jack will "kennel up" to eat and he rides great in a car, making him perfect for any future roadtrip adventures! Live life in the fast lane with Jack Flash! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
