About Governor Garland Local

Governor Garland comes from the Garland litter—a group of Lab and Boxer mixes born to a stray mother down in Tennessee. At about seven months old, this confident little guy carries himself with a calm assurance you don’t see in many puppies his age. He’s playful and silly, and his gentle, quiet manner makes him easy to fall for. You’ll notice he isn’t pushy or demanding—he prefers sticking close to his people, happy to observe the world instead of rushing it. Governor Garland’s even, sweet nature means he’ll bring peace and a lightness to his new home. He does have "parrot mouth" (an over-bite), but eats, drinks, and plays just like any other pup. He isn’t house trained yet, but he’s still young and would benefit from a patient adopter ready for puppy training. Governor Garland gets along well with other dogs and children, so he’d fit into a busy household. All his vaccinations are up to date, and he is already neutered. He is currently in a foster home in Andover, MA, and is looking for a home that appreciates a mix of steady companionship and puppy play. Start your journey together! Apply now.
