Meet Gracie, a 5-year-old Cane Corso / Lab mix, weighing 65 pounds (as of 5/15/26). This adorable lady previously lived with her family in Tennessee but her owners had a new baby with healthy issues and sadly had to give Gracie up since they couldn't take care of both. While Gracie will forever love her old home, she hopes she won't be at her foster's long. This loving girl can't wait to meet her new fur-ever family! Calm, centered and loving, Gracie is truly the epitome of her name. She's a special girl who her foster says is "one-of-a-kind." Gracie would be a great emotional support dog for anyone that needs kind eyes and loving on the hardest days. In fact, we dare you to be in the same room with her and NOT hug her. You can't! She's just the absolute sweetest girl! She'll nudge you and gaze into your eyes for pets if you forget she’s there. But again, how could you? Love personified is right in your home! Gracie plays well with other dogs and will even submit to them at the dog park. This one's all about peace, baby! She adores kids and has even lived with cats. She's the type of girl who'll greet strangers with a soulful gaze as she stares into the inner depths of their being. Gracie walks well on a leash, has been crated and is house-trained. She doesn't know many commands (only "sit" and "lay down"), but she's very very obedient! Medical Disclosure: She is taking antibiotics for 30 days for lyme disease. Gracie also has light zigzag scars on her knees from a surgery she had 2 years ago for luxating patellas. Her knees are great now. Go Gracie! Gracie seems well rounded with no flaws found yet. This girl lead a very adventurous life so whether you're hiking, riding in the car or at home being a couch potato, Gracie is the perfect companion! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
