About Bucky
Bucky will be transported to New England soon—no extra travel fees. Adopting Bucky starts with a chat with his foster family in the South, who rave about him. He’s an 8-month-old Lab/Beagle mix, about medium-sized with a short, white and black coat. Bucky was a stray in Tennessee, but he’s left that behind. His foster rates him a 10 out of 10 for personality and joy. There’s no hesitation in Bucky; he’s always ready for new experiences, walks confidently on a leash, and already knows some basic commands. He handles a crate well and uses both a dog door and puppy pads, though he’s still working on house training and needs a patient adopter willing to help him finish learning the ropes. Bucky is playful and gets along famously with other dogs and cats. Kids love him—he’s naturally charismatic and friendly, and he doesn’t shy away from new people. Expect him to attract plenty of attention wherever you take him. He has mild stenotic nasal passages; he sounds a bit stuffy, but it doesn’t slow him down, as he’s learned to breathe through his mouth. Bucky’s vaccinations are current and he’s been neutered. He’s looking for someone to help him finish growing up with a bit of structure, patience, and love. Click apply to start the adoption process.
