He’s got that classic Great Pyrenees vibe… independent, a little quirky, and absolutely convinced he knows best (even when he definitely does not). Luther loves other dogs and will need a home with a confident canine buddy to help show him the ropes. He thrives with companionship and learns best by following another dog’s lead. While he’s still a young pup figuring things out, he’s already off to a great start with potty habits. He’s only gone #2 outside so far, which is a strong sign he’ll pick up house training quickly with consistency. He’s not super food motivated, but he does love food, and his goofy enthusiasm shines through in everything he does. Expect a little chaos, a lot of laughs, and plenty of personality. Because Luther is very much a Pyrenees-type dog, early and ongoing socialization is essential. New people, places, and experiences will be key in helping him grow into a confident, well-adjusted adult. Crate training will also be important to set him up for success and give him structure. The ideal home for Luther: A patient, experienced dog owner with another dog, a sense of humor, and a commitment to training and socialization. His adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate core vaccinations, microchip, and required neuter when age-appropriate. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog’s age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
